How to Eliminate False Positive Alerts

The most common cause of unexpected false positive alerts is that our IPs have not been whitelisted.

Robotalp sends requests to your web services in a consistent and repetitive manner. Some firewalls may interpret this as a form of attack and block our robots. If our robots are blocked, they cannot access your services and may report them as down.

To prevent this, you can whitelist our IPs in your firewall. How you do this will depend on your system setup. If you are using Shared Hosting, you may need to ask your hosting provider to do it for you.

You can find all the locations and IP addresses we use here.

It is important to select at least three different locations for your uptime monitors. This helps support the incident decision-making process and prevents false-positives.
